Growing up on a working dairy farm in Southern Missouri Susan developed a love for the land, country, fishing and hunting as a young child. Susan enjoys using her diverse background to assist clients in all their real estate needs. SUSAN SLEMMER’S BACKGROUND
Susan spent 17 seasons with the St. Louis Rams and was the director of the team’s marketing partnership department which was responsible for managing and selling team partnerships. During her tenure, Slemmer held numerous positions and was responsible for managing the team’s naming rights partnership, leading the team’s partnership support department, partnership sales, strategic marketing planning, market activation, promotion and execution of partnership initiatives.
Prior to joining the Rams, Susan was an assistant track and cross-country coach at the University of Central Missouri and a former standout student-athlete at Central Missouri. Susan was a four-year letter earner in cross-country, indoor track and outdoor track served as the team captain for two years and received numerous conference and regional honors including qualifying individually for the NCAA Division-II’s National Championship in cross country and being selected to the MIAA All-Academic Team.
Susan is a graduate of Central Missouri State University and serves on the local St. Louis Ronald McDonald House Charities committee, has served the Board of Directors at Mercy Health Foundation and is also active in the community with military veteran initiatives. In 2011 Slemmer was nominated for and participated in The Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC) in Washington, D.C. and several military bases. The program sponsored by the Secretary of Defense for civilian public opinion leaders and is the oldest existing Pentagon outreach program sponsored by the Department of Defense. The civilian leadership visits with all branches of services in the field observing exercise and participating in training.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Susan lives on the outskirts of Edwardsville, IL, near the small farming community of Dorsey, with her husband of 19 years, Ben, a fourth generation native of the Edwardsville area and their son, Luke. Ben is the founder and owner of Log Home Taxidermy and Susan handles the marketing for the taxidermy business.
